Dear Fellow Nazarenes - Thank you for attending TEAM DAY 2008! It is now history and will go down as the most exciting event hosted for Nazarenes from all three districts in the state of Michigan. With almost 1000 in attendance, February 23 proved to be an inspiring experience with the Olivetians kicking off the morning with a mini-concert followed by praise and worship in an overflowing auditorium. Drs. Steve Anthony, Eastern Michigan District Superintendent, Wayne Brown, Northern Michigan District Superintendent and John Seaman, Michigan District Superintendent, hosted the opening session with greetings from Olivet Nazarene University by Dr. Brian Allen. The highlight of the day was a challenging message brought by keynote Brad Mitchell, Senior Teaching Pastor of 3,500 at Trinity Church in Lansing, Michigan. His vast experience at Willow Creek Community, teacher of “Becoming a Contagious Christian,” and command of communicating the gospel around the world, ignited those in attendance. Everyone left with an urgent sense that ‘time is short and hell is hot’ – reiterating the need to reach whoever we can as quickly as we can for Christ. We are especially grateful to the TEAM DAY 2008 dedicated council and staff, Nazarene Perry Schools Superintendent Jackie Hurd, Olivet Nazarene University, faculty, and vendors who made everything possible. Without their investment, Michigan Nazarenes would not have enjoyed the wonderful experience we are hearing so much about. If you have not completed and returned your Evaluation Form, we ask that you please do so by March 10. Again, please accept our thanks for attending this great event and making last Saturday an unforgettable experience. Be assured that our prayers continue to go with you as you minister in Jesus’ name. His and Yours, John Steve Wayne Dr. John Seaman Dr. Stephen Anthony Dr. Wayne Brown District Superintendent District Superintendent District Superintendent Michigan District Eastern Michigan District Northern Michigan District
