SUB SANDWICH SEMINAR A SUCCESS Dr. Steve Weber, Director of Stewardship Ministries for the General Church of the Nazarene, was a guest on the Michigan District April 23-25, addressing one of our local congregations, the District Advisory Board, and Financial Consulting Team. On Tuesday, April 25, over fifty assigned clergy and staff met for a day of training with Dr. Weber at the district office. The morning session targeted personal finance concluding with an afternoon session focused on church stewardship. Catering for the seminar was provided by Dr. Scott Dexter, with the assistance of Bette Garvin and Sandy Holcomb. Greetings everyone! On Saturday, April 22nd, Jorge and Alexandra were united in marriage in Porto Alegre. We want to thank each of you for your wonderful response to our request for wedding dresses. We now have 3 or 4 more long-term couples thinking about getting married, and would ask that you remember these wonderful couples in prayer. |

Nazarene Missions International The Easter season has passed and we are fast approaching our fiscal year end. Have you been watching the figures climb slowly? Click on the turning heart globe and you’ll see the standings as we get them from Kansas City. (Click here for a PDF listing of the WEF status through April 24.) Our emphasis this year has been for every church to be a Mission Priority One church which will help the district to become a Mission Priority One District for the first time in three years. Remember it takes all of us pulling together to reach the goal. Presidents and pastors have shared with me what God has done for their church when they’ve been faithful to give to missions. Jackson First Church dedicated the entire offering on Easter Sunday for World Evangelism. They received over $55,000 Easter Sunday alone, and the offerings are still coming in. Several churches paid and over paid their goal only to give more to help other churches. We really do need each other. Our fiscal year ends May 31st and the books will be closed. Have you reached your goal? Have you sent your monies to the General Treasurer? Can you help someone else reach their goal? You can at least pray that God will pour out abundant blessings as we give to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. It’s not too late. Let’s all make one last effort for God. Thank you! — Carol Missionary Convention is just around the corner. Coming in the mail soon will be your report forms. Please watch for these forms, complete them, and return them by June 10th. This years convention will be held on July 10th & 11th. It will be an exciting time and we look forward to seeing all of you there. There will be events for children, youth, and adults. You won't want to miss it. If you have any questions about the reports please let me know. — Tammy Banker We have exciting things planned for the children this year. The theme is Mission: Unstoppable and involves the C.I.A. (Cross Inspired Agents). There will be all kinds of activities, learning times and special times with missionaries from Romania and the Philippines. Plan to attend and bring mom and dad along so they can enjoy the NMI Convention. Memorial Roll/DSA/Medical Plan Participate in one of these three and fulfill a requirement for Outstanding Achievement. All monies are sent in to the General Treasurer. Remember your loved ones who passed away with a $50 Memorial Roll Certificate. Honor some one in your church with $100 DSA. Or you can receive an offering for Medical Plan and send it to the General Treasurer. Remember to send photos of deceased individuals to Mark Baker at nmipubsecretary@minaz.org.
